Project Unite

Project Unite is a Home and Community division review on rostering and how we can improve the way that it is done, with those who work on the frontline who have a deep understanding of the challenges of rostering, leading the change.

We have heard from people in our services and their advocates that they would like a consistent, small group of support workers who understand their goals and support needs, and who make the most of every opportunity.

Project Unite is an initiative to enhance our access to the right mix and complement of workforce and ensure best practice rostering is in place to meet client need.

The project aims to streamline our systems and processes to support greater consistency for the people we support – and improved work-life balance for our team members. It’s about us all coming together as ONE – to truly support people with disability to turn their possibilities into reality.

The Project Unite team will work with regional teams to:

  • Implement effective rostering patterns and shift blocks to create consistency for both staff and the people we support
  • Optimise our workforce to improve staff retention and work/life balance
  • Improve how we fill shifts quickly and with the right staff
  • Embed core business rostering principles
  • Establish consistency in HSS support and administrative hours.

The project team have created a SharePoint where you can access many documents, including the roll out calendar.

You can access the SharePoint here by clicking on the link.
