Work From Home Checklist

There are WH&S requirements for working from home. Please complete the below forms and return to your manager before you start working from home.

FortiClient is our VPN provider. Use the user guides below to set up your VPN connection and to connect remotely when working from home.

If the first setup process fails what should I do?

Contact the IT Helpdesk on 1300 742 212 and they can run a quick command remotely to reinitiate the connection.

I’ve clicked on REMOTE ACCESS and the connection is not there?

If there is no REMOTE ACCESS as shown above it means that the system has detected that you are at an Endeavour Foundation site and do not need a remote connection. A remote connection will only show when you are away from Endeavour Foundation networks

I’m able to access my email, SharePoint and Office Applications, does that mean my VPN is connected?

No, these applications can still be accessed by the Internet. You can hover your mouse over the system tray icon to confirm your connection. If connect the icon will say ‘FortiClient – Connected to EF SSL VPN’.

Why didn’t I get prompted to login before my VPN connected?

If you have already connected once by logging into a browser session with your login details, you will not need to login again.

I have contacted ServiceDesk to unlock my Fortinet account after being locked out, but I am still getting a lock out notice?

If you are getting the below lock out notice after ServiceDesk have unlocked your account, you will need to restart your system and connect again.

When I attempt to connect the VPN, I get an error page?

You likely still have Proxy settings turned on which are incompatible with the new VPN. If you type ‘Proxy’, in the search bar on the bottom left of your screen, and choose “Change Proxy Settings”, then ensure the circled areas are off.

When I try and connect why do I have a “No tunnels available” message on the FortiClient application?

If you are seeing this message this means you are currently connected to the Endeavour Foundation network directly and you do not need VPN. Before you try to connect to VPN, ensure you disconnect your laptop from the Endeavour network cable or Endeavour Foundation Wi-Fi and connect to a different network or personal hotspot.
