Get Started

Step 1. Install 8×8 software (system) on your device by following the Reference Guide below

Step 2. Log in to this new 8×8 software using your single sign on username and password

Step 3. Watch the Instructional videos below for a demonstration of how to use 8×8.

Step 4. Once the above steps are completed, your devices (laptop &/or mobile) are now your phone line and you are set up with 8×8.

Ensure you have set up Single Sign On and Start Work on desktop login. From the moment you log into your PC, you will appear available and be able to receive and make calls immediately.

FAQs

Will I get a new phone number?

No. Your previous desk phone number will remain your contact number ongoing. You will still receive calls on that number.

Do you need a headset or earphones?

Headsets will be provided to all staff from ICT.

What if I need a desk phone?

Using headsets is the standard set up. If you require a desk phone, your manager can authorise a desk phone for you. You will need to raise a #TeamPossible Support Hub ticket.

Will this replace Microsoft Teams?

No. Microsoft Teams is a collaboration tool and can still be used.

Can I use my personal mobile?

Yes. You can download the 8×8 application to your personal mobile. Refer to the ‘Guide to Installing 8×8 on Mobile Devices’ for instructions.

Do I need to be connected to the Endeavour Foundation network?

You will need to connect to the network to install 8×8. To download the 8×8 software when offsite, you need to ensure your VPN connection outside of Citrix is activated (traffic light is green) then follow the above instructions/attached guide.

If I am on a phone call can I go into Citrix?

Yes you can go into Citrix while on a phone call. To make a phone call you will need to be outside Citrix. It is recommended you pin 8×8 to your task bar.

When you are receiving an incoming phone call, a pop-up box will appear on top of the screen you are currently in to enable you to answer.

What to do if I have questions or technical difficulties?
