My Home, My Life

Every day we come to work knowing our purpose to make possibilities a reality.

One possibility that is important to us is the reality that people have a choice about their housing and receive the right housing design for their needs now and into the future.

We know that homes play an essential role in enabling the people we support to live independent and fulfilling lives.

We believe people with disability in Australia have the same right to the safety and comfort of having a permanent roof over their head like anyone else.

The My Home, My Life initiative is a significant investment in the construction of new homes, major renovations of existing homes, and our ongoing commitment to home improvements.

Over the three years, we will build 70 new homes in different forms (house, duplex and townhouse) and renovate 26 existing homes to create close to 100 new residential opportunities and benefit 600 people we currently support.

Providing beautiful and contemporary homes for people we support and our wonderful staff who support them is something we can all be very proud to achieve.

The purpose of these pages for staff

The My Home, My Life initiative is set to run over four years and will impact our staff and the people we support and their families.

These pages will provide updated information and resources for staff to use when helping the people we support transition to new homes, relocate to temporary homes or manage support through the in-home building process.

New Home, Refurbished Homes and Home Improvement works, explained

Working with our staff, customers and families

While change is exciting for some, we know it can be challenging for others, so we have developed a process of consultation and communication to help guide everyone through the process and minimise stress. We want staff and people we support to feel comfortable with the change and be confident of a good outcome.
