Work experience success at Kew

The team at Kew Social Enterprise regularly provide valuable work experience for school students to help people develop work skills at an early age.

On the first day all students have a workplace, health and safety site induction so they can launch into learning new skills. The team works to make each day fresh and exciting with new tasks at each visit including:

  • Filling Jars/Bags with spices/food products
  • Check Weighing – Ensure packed products contain correct amounts
  • General Labelling – Bags, Cartons, Etc..
  • Assembling Gift Packs

Each of the recent fourteen students were enthusiastic, worked hard and were presented with certificates of achievement at the conclusion of the program.

The school’s work experience coordinator, Lenisha said;

“Thank you so much for accommodating us and being so flexible with our students. They have had a quite an interesting and fulfilling learning experience. Your organisation has provided us with invaluable experiences and opportunities. We are so grateful for your ongoing partnership.

The program’s success has resulted in some students looking to onboard with Endeavour Foundation shortly after school finishes.
