Last week was an exciting week for #teampossible, with reality TV star and newest Endeavour Foundation supporter Angie Kent spending two days at our services learning about all the amazing work you do for people with intellectual disability!
Who is
Angie Kent?
You may recognise Angie’s face from Channel 10’s Gogglebox and The
Bachelorette. Angie is a reality TV star with a passion for supporting
people with disability. Before she was on TV, Angie Kent lived with her
housemate Tom, who is 38 years old, has Down syndrome and diabetes, and is one
of Angie’s best friends.
Angie’s time with #teampossible
On day 1 of her #teampossible tour, Angie visited one of our upcoming lottery homes on the Sunshine Coast, getting a personal walkthrough of the prize home before nipping off to our Caboolture L&L, where customers wowed Angie by making her her very own “Angie” key chain using our 3D printer!
Then it was time for some fun and games. Customers hit the dance floor to bust out the dance moves with Angie, before showing her the Virtual Reality headset. Safe to say she was impressed with all the #teampossible tech and tango steps!

Day 2 was all about getting to work, with Angie visiting our Wacol work site. Wacol Supported Employees were only too happy to welcome Angie in and give her the grand tour.

The visit wrapped up with a beautiful interview from our very own Support Centre legend Jane Hopkins. Jane wrote Angie a letter about relationships, with some tears being shed both on and off camera!
You can read Jane’s letter to Angie here:
Jane’s letter to Angie
A good relationship doesn’t need any promises, any terms nor conditions.
It just needs two wonderful people. One cool like me, and one sweet like you.
Keep love in your heart. Life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead.
The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and richness to life that nothing else can bring.
A relationship is not how long you have been together, not how much you have been given or received, not how many times you have helped each other.
It’s how you VALUE one another, hope everything turns out better for us tomorrow.
May God be with you always.
Your love,
Jane

We’re not crying… you’re crying!
