It is important to us that all people we support are safe and feel safe from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation.
To reinforce this commitment, we are introducing a new eLearning module on violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation (VANE).

Important changes
For all employees, this module replaces the Preventing Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation (PANE) course and serves as a refresher for last year’s Zero Tolerance for Harm training.
This module will be a new yearly requirement for you to ensure everyone, no matter their role, upholds a culture of safety and knows how to:
- Identify the signs of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation
- Support people experiencing these issues
- Escalate concerns and access further support

What to expect
On Wednesday 5 February, all employees will receive an automated email from Engage to complete the new training.
You will have until Friday 7 March to complete the training.

Why are we doing this?
It is important to us that all people we support are safe and feel safe from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation. As part of our five-year strategic plan, we want to create a culture where all people we support feel safe every time they access our services.
