About the merger
TORGAS and Community Solutions have worked alongside each other since 2015, providing support to job seekers, aspiring apprentices, and other services supporting the community.
Over this time, Community Solutions has aligned services and goals. We are now evolving the TORGAS brand, joining completely with Community Solutions as one brand.

TORGAS was established in Townsville in 1984 with one staff member and 15 apprentices. Today it’s a team of staff supporting 6,000 apprentices and trainees to complete their qualifications. From humble beginnings over 30 years ago, TORGAS has expanded across Queensland, guiding a third generation of apprentices and trainees toward successful careers.
Because of this strong legacy, we can embrace innovation and growth opportunities by becoming one with Community Solutions. Strengthening our partnerships means we are better than ever.
For personal support, Benestar is available to all staff where your wellbeing is priority. You can call them on 1300 360 364 and find more information on the intranet.
TORGAS will continue to tailor individual solutions for apprentices and trainees, only now they will now operate as Community Solutions.
All apprentices and trainees will receive new Community Solutions branded PPE.
Strong industry connections and valued relationships with all host employers means apprentices and trainees will continue to be offered the same great opportunities.
TORGAS team members remain the same, so apprentices and trainees will continue to liaise with field officers/representatives as normal.
All training plans are registered with Community Solutions Group already (as the legal entity) so this will not have an impact on apprentices and trainees’ certificates.
Apprentices and trainees will be informed and supported throughout this process, with open lines of communication for any questions or concerns.
All business connections are valued and will continue to be supported throughout this name change project.
Please speak with your team leader if you have any questions or concerns about this project.
