Lachlan Chu – apprentice of the quarter (North Queensland)
Lachlan (left) was nominated by his supervisor at Flinders Shire Council for simply being an exceptional apprentice!
“From day one he has always been first to get in and give it a go, he works well with others and nothing is too hard!”

Caitlin Jones, apprentice of the quarter (South Queensland)
Caitlin (middle) is a Carpenter Apprentice with Watermark Constructions and was nominated for consistently performing well, you simply can’t deny her strong work ethic!
“Caitlin completed our pre apprenticeship program in 2022 and since then has consistently performed extremely well. As a woman in a non-traditional trade – there are only 90 female tradies out of 240,000 on the Sunshine Coast – her success is a true testament to her talent, drive and determination to reach her goals.”

Sebastian Horne, trainee of the quarter (North Queensland)
Sebastian (second from right) was nominated by his supervisor at PMG as an all-round good bloke and hard worker!
“Sebastian has elevated himself into our work team, he takes on every task with commitment and professional courtesy. He has an ability to motivate colleges and is always happy to assist and support colleges. An outstanding young achiever that is well liked by all.”

Lisa Campbell, trainee of the quarter (South Queensland)
Lisa (left) was nominated by her Community Solutions Field Representative as always (yet humbly) exceeding expectations.
“Lisa has been part of our team since October 2022 and has exceeded in every expectation set for her so far. Lisa always takes initiative, is a great problem solver and has become an integral part to our team in Maryborough.
“Lisa deserves recognition for the effort and genuine pride she takes in her work without any fuss. Her quiet achievements have not gone unnoticed.”

Cassowary Coast Regional Council, Host Employer of the quarter (North Queensland)
Cassowary Coast Regional Council’s John Diprose, was nominated by Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) trainee, Crystal Page for his patience, mentorship and highlighting the importance of Crystal’s vital role in the organisation.
“Before John came along, I was having a really hard time understanding the details and composition of my role in WHS. He has shown me that there is so much more than sitting at a desk. I have learned that by being a presence in the workforce can change an entire culture towards safety. His leadership and knowledge are second to none. Thanks to him, I really enjoy my role.”

RoadTek, Host Employer of the quarter (South Queensland)
RoadTek were nominated by Craig Knight at Community Solutions North for their ongoing support and standard of quality apprenticeships and traineeships.
“RoadTek successfully placed three 2nd, 3rd and 4th year Electrical Apprentices for Community Solutions, who have all continued their apprentices hosted with RoadkTek.”
“RoadTek are now in the process of recruiting another Finance and Civil Construction Trainee and we thank them for their continued support in the lives and career journey’s of our apprentices and trainees.”
