Nathan and Robert’s A.R.M-azing milestone

The Mareeba social enterprise team threw a surprise morning tea at Atherton Recycle Market this month, or A.R.M as the locals lovingly call it, to celebrate an exciting milestone: Nathan and Robert’s 10-year work anniversary! 

Nathan Murray was the first employee we support to join A.R.M and has mastered some valuable skills over the years. These include: crafting appealing displays, helping customers unload donations and load purchases into their vehicles, and ensuring the shop floor stays immaculate.

“I like to keep the shop tidy and keeping busy,” he said. 

Like Nathan, ​Production Team Leader, Robert Krause, has been an valued team member since A.R.M first opened its doors. Robert’s mentorship has contributed to many positive outcomes at the site.

This includes Nathan’s goal of operating the pedestrian operated forklift. With the support of Robert’s patient guidance, clear instructions, and hands-on demonstrations, Nathan has achieved this goal with unlocked confidence.
