Some people pick up a paintbrush and create a masterpiece. Others take a chance on an opportunity and turn it into something amazing. Mimi Varasdi? She’s doing both.
Mimi started with QArt Studio at Kew last year, dipping her toes in through work experience. Now, she’s officially part of the team, having smashed her 13-week trial. Not only is she creating incredible artwork, but she’s also making waves beyond the studio.
Every Sunday, you’ll find Mimi at @busstopfilms, soaking up the magic of inclusive filmmaking. As a Melbourne Ambassador, she’s out there advocating, sharing the story of Endeavour Foundation and QArt Studio at every chance she gets.
And when Bus Stop Films flew her to Sydney? She wanted to say thanks the best way she knew how—with a painting. Using the skills she honed at QArt, she created a stunning piece of art as a gift. The team at Bus Stop Films loved it so much they shared it across Facebook and Instagram.
Back at the studio, Mimi has been working alongside QArt supervisors Gordon Hayward and Lily Platts. She’s already completed her first project, and to top it off—she’s sold her very first painting.
A brush, a canvas, and a whole lot of talent—Mimi is making her mark, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
