Micheal takes on Tour de Brisbane again

In last April’s #TeamPossible News, we celebrated Micheal who participated in last year’s Tour De Brisbane Community Ride. This was in alignment with his NDIS goals of engaging in more community events and improving his fitness through cycling.

Micheal prepared for the pursuit by committing to weekly gym, yoga and long-distance cycling sessions months prior to the event to build his strength and stamina.

Fast forward a year, and Micheal has completed the Tour De Brisbane Community Ride a second time! And his Support Worker, Jon Hope, was right by his side as they crossed the finish line together. They both received a medallion, water bottle and pair of socks for their efforts.

Micheal even brought his medallion to work at Gympie social enterprise to show his teammates who shared his excitement.

Micheal now has his eyes set on the Noosa Special Triathlon in November. He is taking on swimming lessons to prepare for the event, which will add a new component to his regular fitness routine.

Your ambition is contagious Micheal! We wish you the best of luck (not that you will need it!).
