For all of 2024 Bundaberg L&L’s Wednesday Film Crew and Friday Theatre Group have been working on their short film. From scripting, learning lines, acting, filming and editing – they’ve done it all!
It all came together recently for their 3rd annual Golden Tick Awards where the film premiered on the big screen to huge laughs, applause and proud cheers of 60 excited guests.
The awards ceremony capped off the afternoon, with several people being recognised for their hard work and creativity.

- Stand-Out Musician and Singer Award, goes to Ashley Murray
- Support Actor in Role as First Year Filmmaker Award, goes to Blake King
- Outstanding Performance Awards, go to Corey Buckmaster & Kathleen Brosnan
That was absolutely amazing. I can’t believe what a great job everyone did and how entertaining the film was. Can’t wait to come back and watch the 2025 premiere!
