Our Blooms for Mother’s Day Fundraising Dinner on Wednesday 8 May, will welcome attendees to take part in an exciting auction.
The prize? The inaugural bouquet of chrysanthemums, grown and harvested by employees at Bundaberg social enterprise.
Employees at the Bundaberg farm have spent the past few weeks preparing for our annual harvest to ensure the flowers are ready to sell to the public ahead of Mother’s Day.
Endeavour Foundation employees, at the Bundaberg farm, have spent the past few weeks preparing for the massive harvest to ensure it was ready to sell to the public for Mother’s Day.

Bundaberg social enterprise Site Manager, Etienne Theart, said in this harvest they have a total of 50,000 chrysanthemums, blooming in an array of 36 brightly coloured hues, and another 3,000 sunflowers – that will create a total of 5,500 bustling bunches.
Our CEO, David Swain, was the instigator behind the flower auction a few years ago, as a way to gather our community, have some fun and celebrate our first harvested bunch.
Etienne said
This year’s fundraising approach is evolving. For the first time, the celebration will be a nighttime event, so that more of the community can attend, thanks to collaboration with the Bundaberg and District Chamber of Commerce.
Bundaberg and District Chamber of Commerce President, Tim Sayre, said we were great to work with and we are a great success story for the Bundaberg region.
