Lest we forget: Remembering ANZAC Day through art and reflection

From the city to the country, our L&L hubs took time to honour ANZAC Day in meaningful and creative ways.

In Victoria, teams from Keon Park and Kew L&L hubs visited the Shrine of Remembrance, with the Keon Park crew also making handmade poppy wreaths during art sessions as a heartfelt tribute to our fallen soldiers.

Further north in Gympie, Queensland, talented artist Daniel Bickmore marked the day in his own special way. Daniel, who receives 1:1 support on Tuesdays, chose to draw the local ANZAC statue on 15 April and his incredible artwork left everyone speechless. A past exhibitor at the Gympie Art Gallery, Daniel continues to explore new scenic locations to inspire his creative work.

From gallery-worthy sketches to handmade wreaths, we’re proud of the unique ways our community paid their respects.
