Grant’s amazing artwork

Grant, who lives in Tugun shows all the signs of a budding artist! Since moving to Tugun from his previous home at Burleigh Heads (where he lived for 30 years), Grant has established himself as a bit of an artist in residence.

Grant’s favourite medium is texters and pens, which he uses to colour in canvases that have a predesign on them.

Recently the team at Tugun set up an art gallery in the hall of their home, a beautiful way to add colour and a bit of life to the area.

Home site supervisor, Kamari-Rose said,

We are encouraging this to be a permanent feature at home as the other housemates may eventually add their own pieces in. We a super supportive of creativity for the people we support at Tugun.

Grant prefers to do his own thing, but has also been inspired by other artworks he has seen.

He also likes to get ideas from thing that staff have suggested.

Grant interests don’t stop at art, although it’s clearly a favourite, he also loves to bake and get outdoors to do the gardening. And on top of this, Grant also works at the Burleigh Heads social enterprise.
