Fundraising efforts make for a jolly ol’ Christmas party

At the beginning of December Bowen Hills L&L celebrated Christmas the right way, with a party at Red Hills Bowls Club which included all the traditional fun.

The festive occasion was made possible due to the generosity of extended Bowen Hills L&L community. Paul Thistleton, whose sister, Lauren is in the L&L group sponsored the event showing that the power or siblingship and the season of giving can make a person as generous as Santa Claus himself.

All jokes aside, this gesture truly reflects the spirit of the season—one of family, generosity, and community.

Hayley Prentice is another person in need of thanking. During the year, Hayley gave her time and organised a successful fundraiser at Bunnings Newstead. This fundraiser allowed Bowen Hills to not only buy some additional things for the Christmas party, but also to get some supplies that the L&L needed.

These above-and-beyond efforts ensured the event was free and accessible for everyone. The result was a festive success filled with jokes, laughs, singing, and award exchanges as icing on the Christmas cake. It was a perfect way to celebrate the season and the amazing work done throughout the year.  Thanks to everyone involved and to all our people at Bowen Hills L&L. Here’s to another year of giving and growing!
