Farewell, Maddy!

We are proud to celebrate the amazing employment journey of Maddy Shaw!

Maddy joined Geebung social enterprise in 2022 as a work experience student, supported by a Teacher Aide. Back then, she worked just one day a week. After finishing high school (and taking a well-deserved day off for her graduation and formal!), she officially joined the team to tackle packaging and mailing tasks.

In 2023, Maddy took on new challenges, learning reception duties like answering calls, taking messages, and mastering administrative tasks. She even became a whiz with the label printing machine, managing everything from programming to printing and counting labels.

Since leaving high school, Maddy’s confidence and skills have soared. She’s reduced her hours with us to pursue two other jobs: coaching young swimmers and assisting with meal preparation at a daycare. Talk about multi-talented!

As 2024 comes to a close, Maddy is ready to focus fully on her other roles. While we’re sad to see her go, we’re incredibly proud of her achievements and growth.
