Darcey, a student from St. Brendan’s College in Yeppoon, has triumphed over significant challenges with the help of Community Solutions. Initially anxious and struggling to manage his Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Darcey found it difficult to engage with others, causing his father to worry about his future.
Community Solutions focused on vital interview skills, such as maintaining eye contact and smiling. Soon, Darcey’s confidence soared, leading to a job at KFC. Now, he is celebrating his one-year work anniversary!
Witnessing such a transformation and its positive impact on lives and future prospects is what makes our work so rewarding.
