Current weather situation | Tuesday 11 March
(From the Bureau of Meteorology) Ex-Cyclone Alfred has weakened over southern Queensland and merged with a trough, which extends through western and southern Queensland into New South Wales. A ridge extends over eastern Queensland and will strengthen on Thursday as a new high moves into the Tasman Sea, which will push the trough west into central Australia.
