I also want to extend a huge thank you to our host employers for your ongoing support in guiding our apprentices and trainees to succeed.

Joel Ingram – apprentice of the quarter (North Queensland)
Joel (left) was nominated by his Field Officer, Leighanne McMahon for his fantastic work ethic and always putting in 110%. Here he is with Mary from DMC.
“Joel’s name has been put forward to me from Mary at DMC due to his amazing work ethic.” Leighanne said.
Joel seriously impressed his supervisor at DMC, who said that he’s the best apprentice he’s had in 4 years and wanted to put his name forward for any awards that come up.
Well done Joel, we recognise and appreciate you for all your efforts.

Rhys York, apprentice of the quarter (South Queensland)
Rhys (second left) was nominated by his host employer, Ollie (second right) at Vision Australia for being an awesome team player and consistently going above and beyond
“Since joining our team last year, Rhys has gone from strength to strength, not only improving his skills and buying his own tools to suit his trade, but really working as part of a team.
“As a director I wish I had more apprentices and employees like Rhys who go above and beyond on a daily basis and who really love their job! Thank you Rhys.” Ollie said.

Robert Sariman, trainee of the quarter (North Queensland)
Robert was nominated by his Field Officer, Kirra Fitzell for his incredible work ethic and his kind approach in bridging the cultural gap in the workplace.
Coming from a diverse linguistic background, Robert strongly advocates for non-English speaking background (NESB) colleagues and those who are hard of hearing by raising awareness around Australian colloquialisms in the workplace.
“Robert has been working hard in his traineeship. He contributes to the growth of the business and the way different cultures communicate in the office. Kirra said.
“Robert was also shortlisted in the recent QLD Training Awards”.

Leah Morse, trainee of the quarter (South Queensland)
Leah (left) was nominated by her host employer, Daniel (middle) at Topsail Insurance for her remarkable dedication, perseverance, and problem-solving skills.
“Leah consistently surpass expectations and delivers exceptional results. Her creativity, innovative thinking and strong work ethic have allowed her to master complex concepts and contribute significantly to the team’s success. She exhibits a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a genuine eagerness to learn. Her exceptional performance and commitment to excellence make her highly deserving of recognition for her outstanding contributions.” Daniel said.
Field Officer at Community Solutions, Phil Ouma worked closely with Leah throughout her traineeship journey and was thoroughly impressed with her work ethic.
“Leah’s ability to embed herself into the business and align herself with their values whiles staying a committed Community Solutions employee is remarkable.

Australian Hydraulic Services, host employer of the quarter (North Queensland)
Australian Hydraulics were nominated by Community Solutions’ Field Officer Mal Trott, for their ongoing commitment and support for 3 apprentices and 1 trainee who they currently host.
“They are a fantastic company to deal with!
“They really go the extra yards with their apprentices and trainees in relation to their company values and support they provide not only their staff but apprentices and trainees.” Mal said.

Solar Injection Australia, host employer of the quarter (South Queensland)
Solar Injection Australia were nominated by Field Officer, Kelly Pershouse (right) for their ongoing commitment and support of apprentices. Kelly is pictured here with Business Leader, Craig Knight (left), apprentice Kouper (middle left) and Director at Solar Injections, Rebecca (middle right).
“The team at Solar Injections have provided wonderful opportunities for our apprentices for many years, with our latest apprentice, Kouper, successfully completing his apprenticeship.” Kelly said.
“Kouper started with Solar Injections in 2018 as a year 10 school-based apprentice and today is a qualified tradesperson continuing his journey with Solar Injection. He successfully manufactures products and components from end to end.”
