Cérge is offering a paid work opportunity for people we support in the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast regions.
This is an opportunity for 6-12 people we support to participate in inclusive storyteller gigs to share their experiences and help create more inclusive spaces in their community.
Cérge uses technology to solve two of the biggest barriers in community participation, sport and leisure, and accessible tourism for people with a disability:
- A lack of public information about venue/destination accessibility
- How people are perceived and treated by service teams at the venues.
The technology, or companion technologies, that they have developed are:
- The Cérge Companion App – allows customers with a disability, parents, carers and support workers to choose a venue they would like to visit and communicate directly with service staff at the venue via the app before or upon arrival.
- The Cérge Companion website -a plug and play solution for participating venues to showcase accessibility and sensory guide information so an individual may make an informed decision ahead of time.
