Celebrating International Women’s Day at Endeavour Foundation, Kew

We were honoured to celebrate International Women’s Day in Kew, recognising all the amazing women who contribute to our community.

Supervisor Lily Platts kicked off the celebration with an inspiring presentation on the significance of women in the world. We also heard from Kitty Yiu, who shared her powerful personal story, reflecting on the values of women. Isobel (Sarah) Gibson added her own heartfelt speech to commemorate the day.

A special moment was when Mimi Varasdi delivered an impactful speech, sharing the history of Women’s Day and a personal story about her grandparents. Her words reminded us all about the importance of acknowledging the achievements and contributions of women throughout history.

To celebrate the incredible women at Kew, the site presented a beautiful earring, made by the QArt studio artist, Miranda Millane, to all female supported employees. Also, the site presented a beautiful gift hamper to all female support staff. It was a day full of joy, empowerment, and appreciation for the women who make such a difference.

The day was topped off with a wonderful lunch, making the entire celebration truly unforgettable.
