Celebrating friendship and new beginnings in Rockhampton

We kicked off the beginning of this month with the celebration of a brand-new $710,000 home in Rockhampton, as part of our My Home, My Life initiative.

This home was custom-built for three lifelong best friends Gweneth, Edwina, and Laurell who also attend the Rockhampton Learning and Lifestyle (L&L) hub nearby.

Reflecting on their close bond, Acting Portfolio Manager, Tori Wyllie, said:

“Home is where the heart is, and for this group of best friends, they are truly each other’s family.

“They sing, they love arts and craft and there’s never a dull
moment. This home is perfect for the ladies, as it caters for all of the things they love to do together.”

While Gweneth, Edwina and Laurell’s new abode comes move-in ready and equipped with modern accessibility features, we’ve ensured plenty of space for them to add their personal touches and truly make it their own.

For Laurell, this means transforming her spacious bedroom into a horse haven.

“I’m so excited to have a big new bedroom,” she said. “I’m going to put my horse blanket in there, and horse pictures, and I have new clothes to go into my new wardrobe.”

“This is my first brand-new home, and Edwina is coming, she’s
my best friend,” Laurell added.

Edwina’s proud father, Peter, is delighted at the house his daughter now gets to call home.

“It’s wonderfully designed and meets the ladies’ requirements perfectly,” he shared. “We’re excited they’ll be part of a vibrant new community.”
