Bundaberg L&L celebrates St Patrick’s Day in style
News/Bundaberg L&L celebrates St Patrick’s Day in style

About 2 years ago, the people we support and staff at the Bundaberg L&L hub got together to form the Volunteer and Events working group. This was due to the fact that there were so many events happening at the L&L and in the community, that they needed people to organise them. A call was put out for helpers and since then events have been more coordinated. They meet every Wednesday to discuss things that are coming up and how they can work together to make the events happen.
The most recent event celebrated was St Patrick’s Day, which was held at the hub. Once it was decided to hold the event at the hub, it was action stations. The working group got together to discuss how the event would look, what they’d eat, and what activities they would do, they even went shopping to buy the necessities.
St Patrick’s Day came and the hub was a hive of activity in a sea of green… well it is the lucky colour of the Irish ☘️. To celebrate there was:
Craft activities galore in the colour of the day (of course)
Green jelly to eat
Green drinks to enjoy!
And the best bit, everyone went out of their way to dress in green and join in the fun.. they were social butterflies 🦋 indeed!!
