It’s all about the glitz and glamour at the Annual Bundaberg Ability Ball.
Have you heard about the Annual Bundaberg Ability Ball? These finely dressed housemates certainly have! Support Worker, Natalie Orvard and housemates, James Sproule, Leanne Richards, and Matthew Jones, put on their glad rags and danced the night away!
Home Site Supervisor, Maree Mahoney said:
They go every year and love it! They get to meet stars from Home and Away and get to dress up for the ball, hair, make up, suits.
The Bundaberg Ability Ball has been going now for 11 years and for the last few years, local housemates and their support workers have gone along for a great night out.
This year, Home and Away stars Tristen Gorey and Haily Pinto went along to join in the fun, but Maree remembers balls of the past that were attended by familiar faces like Ray Meagher (Alf) and even Wally Lewis,
Our guys went along and got their jerseys signed and Wally was handing out autograph cards.
This year, Natalie, James, Leanne and Matthew enjoyed a two course meal before hitting the dance floor to a big stadium rock band.
There was much excitement too when a mini reunion of sorts took place as friends who have previously attended our services were also at the event.
Thanks to the team in Bundaberg for making this happen for James, Leanne and Matthew. As Maree said,
As soon as they get home from the ball, they ask if they can go again next year!
