Adding Colour to St Kilda

In the stormiest of times, QArt Gallery Artist Stefan Farina was able to bring a little colour to the diners of Inner-City Melbourne.

Stefan recently finished a spectacular mural of the iconic St Kilda pier in Melbourne. The eye-catching artwork is capturing the attention of patrons and staff alike, making clever use of perspective and giving the illusion of traversing down the grey boardwalk.

The mural, which took eight weeks to complete, was commissioned by Luna’s Food and Wine Bar and is now a feature wall inside the restaurant.

Stefan said the image represents Melbourne so well, as it pairs perfectly with the restaurant’s location opposite Luna Park Melbourne and the historic Palais Theatre.

Completing the mural was not Stefan’s only cause for celebration this year; he has also recently celebrated his fifth-year anniversary as an artist for QArt!

“I can’t believe it’s been five years! I am so proud of how much I have grown and how much artwork I have done in those five years since becoming an artist,” he said. “I am so lucky to have a passion that I will always love.”

He said the support of his family and QArt Gallery friends made it all possible.

“If it wasn’t for my mum to help get me where I am today, I wouldn’t have been an artist at this amazing organisation, working with some amazing people and making all these great friends who are also very talented artists!”
