BRACE proposed changes
Following feedback during the recent consultation with Enabling Functions, Community Solutions and BRACE teams, we are proposing changes to BRACE operations.
As part of these changes and after careful review, we’ve made the difficult decision to close BRACE.
We will stop accepting new enrolments and focus on supporting current students to finish their training or transition to other suitable options by the end of 2025.
While BRACE is closing, our commitment to helping people into employment will continue.
As we plan for the closure of BRACE, we will work closely with everyone impacted to make sure the transition is smooth and respectful.
Key dates
- Teams commence consultation on Thursday 19 June.
- The consultation will run until Friday 27 June.
- Outcome conversations will be booked for Wednesday 2 July.
Feedback and support
Support will be available every step of the way to work through options including:
- 1:1 meetings
- Transition planning
- Access to confidential counselling or employee assistance services via Converge International
- Employment and redeployment advice where possible
