Thomas Luckhurst, trainee of the quarter (North Queensland) & Lyndon Sutherland at Sun Metals, host employer of the quarter

Congratulations to this dynamic duo! Thomas has shown extraordinary dedication and progress, skyrocketing from completing just one theory unit in April to being on the brink of fulfilling all his qualification requirements! His commitment to his studies makes him a deserving candidate for this award.

Special recognition goes to Host Supervisor Lyndon Sutherland, Thomas’ Host Employer at Sun Metals, for his dedication and support in ensuring Thomas had everything he needed for his qualification sign-off. His prompt responses and assistance have been commendable.

Felicity Wadsworth, trainee of the quarter (South Queensland)

A big round of applause for Felicity who has been an outstanding and hardworking Civil Construction trainee since 2022, starting as a school-based trainee and moving into a full time role post year 12.

Felicity is seen as leadership material by her Host Employers and is a strong advocate for Community Solutions trainee program. She actively promotes the Women in Construction program and is well-deserving of this recognition.

Ipswich Learning & Lifestyle hub host employer of the quarter (South Queensland)

Ipswich L&L are a fantastic host of the internal traineeship program and recently had their first trainee, Kaci Eagleton successfully complete Certificate 3 Individual Support and transition into a Support Worker position.

Ceri, Amber and the whole team provide a really collaborative and supportive environment for our internal trainees ensuring they are set up for long term success. From a trainee starting fresh into the industry and building their confidence and skills on the job from the ground up. Congratulations Ipswich L&L!

All winners received a $150 gift card as a token of our appreciation for their hard work and commitment.

If you know an apprentice, host employer or trainee who deserves a bit of love, nominate them for Q4 by Friday 20 December.

Once again, congratulations to all our winners!
