Active Support and Frontline Practice Leadership Training
๐ We are rolling out our second round of Active Support and Frontline Practice Leadership training sessions to all enabling functions teams in January and February 2025.
While this training has already been introduced to our frontline teams, it has been tailored to highlight how enabling functions teams contribute to creating best-practice care for people in our services ๐โค๏ธ๐งก
Training sessions can be completed in any order and are offered both online via Teams and in-person at Support Centre (in person places are limited, please register early if you wish to attend an in-person session).
What is Active Support?
Active Support is a modern, evidenced-based approach to disability care. It recognises people we support as equal partners in decision making, planning, goal setting, and care monitoring.
It acknowledges people are the experts on their own needs and preferences, and helps us focus on person-centred support that encourages growth.
Enabling Functions play a crucial role in supporting our frontline teams to deliver consistent, safe, and person-centred practices. This training shows how you can embed active support practices into your role and the positive impact this can have on our frontline teams and the people we support.
