Some recent great endeavours in fundraising

The Warwick community came together on 14-15 June to support two of our major fundraising events: the Charity Golf Day at Warwick Golf Club and the Picnic Races at the Warwick Turf Club.

Geoff Lang, from our sponsor Transport Field Service, said it was a highly successful two days of fundraising.

“At the golf day, we cleared $4,000 and another $8,000 from the race day, so we’ve raised about $12,000 so far this year,” Geoff said.

Geoff has been one of our loyal supporters since 2016, and his son, Tim, has also been active

Speaking of rallies, our good friend Dougie (aka. Pete from Wacol social enterprise), recently made the exciting jump from being an employee we support on a rally trip to a full-fledged participant during this year’s Great Endeavour Rally Weekend Edition.

“Me and my brother are avid 4WD fanatics. It was great for us to be on our home turf in my Hilux alongside everyone else,” Dougie said.

“I’m proud to have participated as a fundraising entrant, and to raise funds for Endeavour Foundation, because I know just how much support they offer people with disability,”

Despite being first-time fundraisers, Dougie and his brother, Jonathan, raised an impressive $800 for people with disability – a great effort that has given the brothers a solid benchmark to beat in the future.
