Pen pal program | You’ve got mail! 

Gladstone and Ayr L&L teams have kicked off a Pen pal program for people we support to strengthen connections across our services, and it’s already proving to be a huge hit!

Led by Site Manager, Katie Cantlay, and the dedicated teams at Gladstone and Ayr L&L, the program encourages people to write and send letters to other hubs, promoting improved literacy and friendship building. Each fortnight, they pick a new hub to write to, with everyone eagerly waiting to receive responses in return.

“Angela particularly enjoys heading to the post office to mail the letters – it’s become a special part of her week!” Katie said.

The initiative is entirely client-driven and has been so well received that it is generating much excitement and supporting stronger relationships.
