High tea and heartfelt talks with Bryony and Chelsea

Bryony and Chelsea from Caboolture L&L were our ambassadors for this prize home.

They first met during Bryony’s first day at the hub and instantly clicked over their favourite TV shows, shared sense of humour and common values.

“I came here to work on my people skills,” Bryony said. “My values are honesty, loyalty and kindness. I share those with Chelsea.”

To celebrate our Anniversary Prize Home, the besties enjoyed a delightful high tea with Lotteries General Manager, Kirsty Moore. They chatted about their friendship and addressed an important issue: the fact that 46% of people with disability feel undervalued and disrespected in their communities.

“There are heaps of people in Australia who have no idea how nice it is to talk to a person with disability,” said Kirsty. “Do you reckon it would be better if people were more friendly and said g’day?”

“Yes,” Chelsea responded. “We all have feelings. All they have to be is themselves.”

Bryony and Chelsea encouraged everyone to purchase a lottery ticket to support more positive outcomes for people with disability.

“And awesome people like us!” Bryony cheerfully added.

“And don’t forget to talk to people with disability nice and kind,” Chelsea encouraged.
