To ensure a safe environment for all, all employees we support must complete mandatory training on our safety guidelines. This commitment helps keep them and their colleagues safe.
Our revamped Mandatory Training package, developed by the Learning, Leadership and Professional Development team, prioritises accessibility and engagement. Each module is presented in Easy Read format, specifically designed for people with intellectual disability.
The training accommodates various learning styles and incorporates interactive elements including videos, quizzes, and images to achieve engagement and understanding.
To ensure effective delivery, all trainers have completed a competency assessment, which involved presenting a module to Practice Education Advisor, Ray Anderson. His feedback and coaching helped prepare them for successful training sessions with employees.
Congratulations to all teams for their progress in delivering these mandatory training modules! A special shoutout goes to the Seven Hills social enterprise teamwho has successfully delivered all eight modules to the majority of employees they support with an impressive 398 completions. Executive General Manager of Work, Shannon Foley, and General Manager of Transformation, Simon Cook, recently visited the site to recognise the team for this accomplishment.
Feedback from the site has been resoundingly positive. Employees appreciated the Easy Read slides and resources, which made learning enjoyable and accessible.
Trainers valued the structured format of the Mandatory Training package, noting that all resources are conveniently housed in Engage, making them easy to access.
The facilitator guides and slide packs have also proven to be extremely helpful in supporting employees through the modules.
