An inclusive 8-week challenge

  • Mentor: 75+ guided videos on an accessible online platform.
  • Move: Work out to at least two (2) videos each week with your team.
  • Monitor: Check how your team is feeling before and after working out using Wellbeing Check-Ins.

All Abilities Workout is a unique program designed by people we support, for people we support.

It is all about moving, learning from mentors, and keeping track of progress, all in an inclusive environment.

Get involved!

Sites can access mini-activities, virtual mentoring, and wellbeing check-ins through a single online platform. It acts as a positive intervention to boost physical and mental wellbeing.

Sign up to set up or join a pre-existing team, then you can log in to the dashboard to access 75+ exercise videos, which have been creatively tailored for all abilities and fitness levels in an easy-to-follow format.

Once you are set up you can follow these simple steps to get the most out of the platform.

The challenge is simple

Complete at least two videos each week for 8 weeks between 8 May and 30 June and check in with each other before and after your workout using the platform’s Wellbeing Check-Ins.

Cozmo allows you to learn, create and explore the world of robotics and basic coding through an advanced, interactive interface.

Your site can try lots of fun things together with Cozmo! Play games, sing songs or maybe even try to code in the code lab! You can tell him to say or do something, and he will do it. Why not ask him to build a tower block then knock it down? Through the Explorer mode, you can even drive Cozmo around and you see what he is seeing!

Champion Life is a unique web-based platform that runs the software behind this project. You can email them on [email protected] if you have any issues with the dashboard.

The All Abilities 8-week challenge encourages sites to complete at least two workout videos each week, while tracking wellbeing of people we support through the platform’s Wellbeing Check-Ins.

The 8-week challenge starts on Monday 8 May and ends on Friday 30 June, 2023.

No. The 8-week challenge is open to any homes or sites wishing to participate. People may wish to simply follow the videos with their teams instead.

However, participating in the challenge is a good way to stay motivated as well as compete with other homes and sites!

All Abilities Workout is for anyone wanting to incorporate exercises into their daily routine but is primarily aimed at helping people we support at Work, Home & Community and DAP sites to develop healthy exercise habits.

It is easy! You can join a group or start your own group. Go to the dashboard and follow the instructions on how to sign up.

No. Only frontline employees who are facilitating an All Abilities Workout and/or participating in the 8-week challenge need to sign up.

No. It is your choice to participate in All Abilities Workout. People we support do not have to participate if they don’t want to.

Yes. There may be instances when you have multiple groups (e.g. people we support and employees are present on different days, your site is too large and needs to be divided into smaller groups etc.) In this instance, you can make two separate groups, or split your main group into two by simply dragging and dropping names into each group.

Go to the dashboard, click on ‘split group’, create a new name and simply drag the names you want in each group.

Yes. You can have the same person in several groups.

Go to the dashboard, click on ‘people’, then click on ‘add existing person’. You can then add the existing person to the group you want. If the tables are empty, simply use the ‘Create new person’ button to add your chosen person to the group.

For security reasons, members added to a group will be manually approved within 24 hours. Therefore, we recommend that people you support who are participating are added at least 24 hours prior to their All Abilities Workout.

Watch as many workout videos as you like! There is no limit to how many you can do with your home/site. You just need to do two videos each week to participate in the challenge.

There are 75+ videos to choose from ranging from 2-8 minutes and tailored for all abilities. We recommend that your group works out to at least two videos a week, but there is no set structure.

Not a problem! You can still do the workout even if someone is away. You can just skip their name when completing the wellbeing check-in.

No. People we support have already been uploaded in the system.

We have uploaded some details of people we support into the dashboard to facilitate frontline staff when setting up site groups.

Only first and last names of people we support have been added into the dashboard.

Great! All you need to do is show us your creative interpretation of what inclusive group fitness means to you. Complete this entry form to send your video/photo for selection by the judging panel.
