Sourcing Contractors Without an ABN

  • People Experience at [email protected] to confirm worker screening requirements have been met prior to commencement.

Sourcing Contractors With an ABN

If you wish to engage with a contractor with an ABN, contact:

  • People Experience at [email protected] to ensure the contractor complies with worker screening requirements.

Gathering Information

When engaging a contractor directly, the following information will be required prior to setting up the agreement:

  • Request a copy of the company extract showing company directors, registered address and other business details.

  • Confirm how each contractor will sign the agreement (as Director, under seal, by Power of Attorney etc).

  • Request copies of certificate of currencies for Public Liability ($10 million for any one occurrence), Professional Liability ($10 million) and Workers Compensation (only applicable for contractors with more than 1 employee).

  • Engage with People Experience to conduct a background check on the contractor, and to handle all compliance matters.

  • Develop a contractor agreement. The Procurement team will assist you with completing the agreement to place in the Contract Management System.
