Managing our technology assets is an important part of understanding how we use technology at Endeavour Foundation. Here’s what you can do to follow the correct processes and ensure your team have what they need to make possibilities a reality!

New Starters
The New Starter Checklist for Managers (QF5202.13) outlines what you need to organise for your new employee, including laptops, screens, mobile devices and keyboards. You can order your hardware in via the #TeamPossible Support Hub.
To set up your new starter for success on day one, it’s important to provide Technology with sufficient lead in time (ideally 10 working days). Technology assets must be assigned to the employee by their manager in the #TeamPossible Support Hub. This will be updated when the asset is returned or reassigned.
NOTE: People Experience will lodge a request as part of the onboarding process, for a login and email profile for you to provide to your new employee. This is essential prior to requesting any equipment.

Departing Staff
Managers are responsible to ensure all assets are returned to the Technology Service Desk upon an employee’s departure from the business. To return equipment, simply raise a ticket in the #TeamPossible Support Hub.
Return your hardware in person to the Technology Service Desk Team at the Support Centre or post via courier c/o Technology Service Desk, Endeavour Foundation 33 Corporate Drive, Cannon Hill QLD 4170.

FAQs
Can I transfer hardware from an old employee to a new starter?
No. You must follow the employee exit process and return all existing devices to the Technology Service Desk for redistribution or replacement.
Why can’t I just simply transfer the asset to the new staff member?
Returning the asset to Technology allows for the hardware to be correctly cleaned and set up for the new user receiving the hardware. Sensitive documents need to be removed and a secure wipe completed prior to redistribution.
Why can’t I keep hold of the device in case there is a new starter down the track?
It’s important we manage the digital and data security, device integrity and register of Technology equipment at Endeavour Foundation. To ensure we maintain an accurate device register, it is essential all hardware is returned for digital cleaning and testing. We also need to plug devices into the network regularly to ensure they have the latest security updates, bug fixes and enhancements.
