We are more connected than ever, so practicing good digital hygiene is important. Increasingly sophisticated cyber-attacks and constantly evolving cyber criminals mean it is not enough to be cyber aware anymore. You must be Cyber Smart!
Any device that connects to the network / internet is vulnerable to risks. If you connect it, protect it. Take a look below to see how you can stay safe:

Passwords

Use a phrase to create lengthy, unique and memorable password.

Downloads and Documents
Keep your desk clear of any official / sensitive documents, any disk drives or any written notes that may lead to a breach by an unauthorised person.
Common sense plays a substantial role in maintaining good cyber hygiene. Do your research before downloading anything or sharing sensitive information.

Phishing
Phishing is the most common type of cyber-attack that affects organisations like ours. Phishing attacks can take many forms, but they all share a common goal: getting you to share sensitive information such as login credentials, credit card information, or bank account details.
Hackers impersonate a real company to obtain your login credentials. You may receive an email asking you to verify account details with a link that takes you to an imposter login screen, delivering your information directly to the attackers.
If you can’t tell if an email is legitimate or not, please report it to ICT Security through #TeamPossible Support Hub
Always verify the source and watch out for common mistakes. It is always good to double check with the sender to avoid any incidents later.
