As part of your employment responsibilities, you are required to complete mandatory training during orientation/induction. The number of training courses you need to complete depends on your role and where you work.

Completing Training
Some of the mandatory training courses only need to be completed once; or you may be allocated training that needs to be completed at set periods, for example, annually or every three years.
All mandatory training completed through Engage is recorded on your ‘Record of Learning’ page. Under the ‘Certifications’ tab on this page, you can see the expiration date of each mandatory course. Engage is set up to automatically send you emails when your mandatory training is about to expire and when it has expired.

Why Complete Mandatory Training?
Ensures a safe working environment for employees
Health and safety regulations and guidance help to make sure staff have a safe working environment. But safe practice is a shared responsibility, and everyone must be accountable for their own actions.
Mandatory training ensures you have the right knowledge and skills to carry out your duties in the safest ways possible, minimising any risk to yourself and others. It may also relate to specific equipment or devices you use as part of your role.
Ensures safe and effective care
Endeavour Foundation has processes and guidance that are applicable to the care you deliver. Some may be relevant to everyone in the organisation, such as cyber safety and workplace bullying. Others may be specific to your role or the people you care for, such as safe swallowing or moving people safely.
Supports employees to meet professional standards
You will find many of the areas covered in mandatory training support staff to meet the professional standards that cover our NDIS accreditation and continued funding.
Creates a positive work culture
As part of your mandatory training, and to demonstrate good practice, Endeavour Foundation includes courses to develop the skills of staff in creating good working relationships; equality and diversity; dignity; and ways of working. These help to promote a fair and respectful working environment, where staff feel supported, included and safe to speak up about any concerns.
