About Advisory Groups

Our Advisory Groups provide input and advice to ensure our services are aligned with the needs of all clients and meet evolving needs. Our Advisory Groups aim to truly reflect the diverse and individual needs, experiences and perspectives of people we support, ensuring every person has a voice in shaping our services and future direction.

Client Advisory Group

Client Advisory Group members are people we support representing all our services. The group provide input and feedback to the organisation on policies, procedures and advocacy positions that impact people we support.

Through the Client Advisory Group we hope to elevate the voice of people we support so more people we support feel they have greater choice in how they live their lives.

Members of the Client Advisory Group are encouraged to also participate as members of the Service Advisory Group relevant to the services they receive. Here are resources to support conversations with people we support about Advisory Groups:

Service Advisory Groups

Our two Service Advisory groups of volunteers are asked to provide advice to our Executive Leadership Team focused on the diverse needs of people we support in Disability Employment or Home and Community services.

They provide advice on topics including:

  • current and future service offerings
  • implementation of our strategic plan
  • preparedness for future needs and sector changes
  • elevating the voice of people we support and advocacy efforts.

How to join an Advisory Group

We encourage people with a lived and/or professional experience within the current NDIS environment to express their interest to volunteer to provide valuable insights to the organisation.

How it supports the strategic plan?

Advisory Groups support our strategic plan’s long term social impact goal of making a positive impact in the lives of the people we support.

We’ll know we’ve succeeded when:

People we support with an intellectual disability feel included, empowered and lead full and purposeful lives where they can exercise choice and control.
