From CSG trainee to Banking Services Officer

Caitlin McMillan (right) was recruited as a CSG trainee in June 2021 and started full-time employment with the Banking Services Team a year later as a Banking Services Officer.
Here’s what her proud team had to say:
When a position came up in the Banking Team in June last year, we decided to recruit a trainee through CSG. Caitlin agreed to complete a Certificate III in Business Administration while completing her work experience in Financial Administration with the banking team. This was the best decision we could have made. Caitlin came to us after working at Coles and with some experience as a support worker for Spinal Life
Banking Services Manager, Kirrily Brooke
Caitlin is easy to train on new tasks. She picks up on things quickly and is always keen to learn more. She has great time management skills as she has been able to complete her required daily work as well as putting time aside each day to work on the modules for her traineeship. The team also enjoy guessing Caitlin’s trivia questions in our daily morning meetings.
Banking Officer, Anita Rogers
Caitlin was eager to learn and picked up the skills needed to complete the role extremely well. After never having played with a spreadsheet, within weeks she was processing one of our largest bank statements on her own and it wasn’t long before she was taking on other tasks. She did all this while also completing her traineeship modules. Caitlin has fit into our ‘mature age’ team and adapted to our personalities and humour effortlessly. She has exceeded our expectations.
Banking Lead, Mandy Rail
Caitlin said that she’s looking forward to her future at the organisation and the opportunities that will come with it:
I feel extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to undertake a traineeship through CSG with Endeavour Foundation. I am excited to work for a company that holds so many important values and does so much for the community. I couldn’t thank the ladies of the Banking Team enough for taking a chance on me and their continued support while I was completing my Cert III.
