On Friday 30 August, we unite to celebrate Wear It Purple Day, a day that acknowledges sexuality and gender diverse young people – or rainbow youth.
This year’s theme is ‘Your Passion, Your Pride’, a celebration of LGBTIQA+ people openly and visibly achieving their dreams in sport, art, science and more.

Why we wear it purple!
Getting involved is simple! Wear purple on Friday 30 August. By wearing purple, you demonstrate to rainbow youth that they are seen, supported and respected. You also demonstrate to our people who identify as LGBTQIA+ that they are valued members of our organisation.
Tell us what purple means to you!
I’ll be wearing purple to show my support for and celebration of our LGBTIQA+ workers and their strength and pride for being who they are.
L.M
I’m wearing purple because representation and advocacy matters in a safe, welcoming workplace. LGBTQI+ are always supported and safe expressing their true selves with me!
